TurboTax Canada Software Review and Giveaway!
8:28 AM Posted by CalgaryDaddy
With the 2010 tax season fast upon us, many Canadians are getting ready to complete their 2010 returns. Over the years, the majority of Canadians have taken it upon themselves to complete and file their own tax returns. I remember going to the post office in the mid 1990's and picking up a paper tax package in an attempt to file my own return. The forms where so long and confusing, that I eventually went to one one of the national tax preparation chains and paid them over $70 to file my return for me. I used to get frustrated that I had to pay someone to file my returns, as all they seemed to do was just input my T-4 information and basic information into their system. I cannot believe that I used to pay $70 for that basic service!
This quick video gives you a good overview of the product...
I would recommend Turbotax to anyone that does their own taxes. It is super easy for first time users to navigate and offers free support and 100% accuracy guaranteed. I also love the Netfile feature, which allows me to upload the return directly to the government, which speeds my return up!
TurboTax is available in stores everywhere and online at http://turbotax.intuit.ca/ . They also have many different product potions available that meet everyone's individual situation. The best part for me? Never again will I pay $70+ for a tax preparation company to do my return!

Kyron and I In the Calgary Metro!

I was fortunate enough to be interviewed for a story in the Calgary Metro this week and I thought I would share the link with everyone.
The story focus on how parent blogs are becoming a "virtual baby book" and I agree with this perspective. Anyone that reads this blog knows that I try to be as light hearted and share funny posts and try to stay away from parenting advice. ( Like anyone would want my advice anyways....lol.)
Here is a link to the story...

Note: The accidentally listed Kyron as being 2 years old...he is only 13 months! I can't believe how much he looks like Becky in this picture!
Any thoughts on your take on the blogs being an extension of the traditional baby book?
Happy Friday!
