My dad came here with nothing, he built a big succesful business and worked hard his whole life. He gave my sister and I both down payments for our first house when we were single so we didn't pay anyone else rent. He made sure we had a car so we didn't depend on other people for a ride , but he made sure we paid the car money back so we learned responsibility. To me a measurement of a good father is not what he gives you but what he teaches, he's taught me Love, Compassion, how to be a friend, resposibility and hard work. He's 75 now and I'm in my late 40's and i still learn from him all the time, that's why my dad's the best!

My Dad was the best because he was the master gardener. He took his oasis very seriously and nutured every blade of grass like it was his own. I love him for it and now know quite a bit about gardening thanks to him :)

My Dad is now 84 years old and suffers from dementia. But he lived a great life and ALWAYS lived by the Golden Rule. A great role model, friend and father.

My mom and dad had been married for 47 yrs when he lost mom, last October. They had known each other since they were 12 which was about 59 yrs. Dad didn't have much formal education, but got a job at 14 and by the time he was 21 he bought half the company he was working for. He made a good living and raised us with great values; we are never afraid of a hard days work.
Basically, dad taught us that we could be happy without much as long as we were honest and hardworking. Happiness doesn't revolve around money or possessions, but love and family!

There are endless reasons why my dad is best but my favorite would be because he's a classic old school father with my mother as his modern twist. He has and will always be there for me when I need him and that's the best gift ever!

My dads the best simply because he raised two kids solo when we were 4 and 8 year olds and up. He did a pretty good job and I admire him for being both a mommy and a daddy. Its a hard job being just a daddy!

My dad is 85 years young and is still a very active man, He always has time to help others with his woodworking skills, and he is wild about baseball. What a great inspiration!. A husband, a father, a teacher and mostly, my DAD.
