3 Month Old Baby Kyron Sleeping Through The Night...Time to Move Baby Into His Own Room!
10:23 AM Posted by CalgaryDaddy
Sigh. Last night was a milestone for our three month only son Kyron as he made the move from his bassinet over to his own crib. Becky and I had loved having Kyron sleep in our room in his own bassinet, but the little monster has passed the 15lbs weight limit and had to move out. Becky and I had been stalling this move for a few days, but finally had to give in to his expanding girth!
Kyron has been sleeping well over the past few weeks, often sleeping 8-10 hours without waking up! Even through his room is less than 10 feet away, we were nervous about not having him at the foot of our bed. We used our Graco Video Monitor to watch and listen to him sleep last night, which provided some comfort for us. Becky is a really light sleeper ( well, at least since Ky was born...) so I know she can hear every little movement but the monitor adds some extra piece of mind. This little gadget is one of the best things we bought!
Some of you are probably laughing and rolling your eyes, but I think this is a big deal, lol. I am sure it will take a few days for us to get used to our big boy Kyron sleeping in his own bedroom. He seems to have adjusted well. Mom and Dad are still trying though....
Sigh.

That's a hard transition, but it seems to be going well for you. If you're confident that it's the right thing- it's WAY easier than not being sure and waivering back and forth. Like any parenting, I guess. :)

We had a video monitor for my daughter's room too. I loved it. I could see what she was doing at any point in time and felt more comfortable having one. :) They're very useful!

OMG I couldn't get my babies out of our room fast enough, I think the longest was 2 weeks and then we were shipping them out. I couldn't sleep with them in there. You are a lucky lucky man to have a baby sleeping through the night at 3 months though, reason to celebrate for sure!

Oh I'm jealous my daughter will turn 2 soon and still does not sleep through the night. I have a video monitor and it's the best thing I bought as a new parent, you won't be sorry!

HAHA...the baby sleeps better than his parents! What is up with that? I think that lasts until they move out!!
I sleep with earplugs in and I can still hear them in the night! But my hubby will sleep right through their calling for mommy or daddy. I think it's a mom thing!

Definitely a milestone for Baby Kyron to sleep through the night! I remember when my DD slept through the night the first time, we checked on her every hour or so to see if she was still breathing! ha! We lucked out with her, she was sleeping through the nt at 2 1/2 months in her own bed! However, when our DS was born, he did not sleep through the night till 10months
=( ... haha i guess that was the trade off!
Enjoy every milestone with Kyron,,, theres SO much more to come =)
hugs

It is a big deal and congrats on making the move. Sounds like so far everything with the move is good. It will get easier every night. Good Luck.
