Best Father/Son Song Ever!
9:08 AM Posted by CalgaryDaddy
I thought I would share an amazing song that give me the chills every time I listen to it! Personally, I think that it has to be the best Daddy/Son song of all time. When I hear this song, ( by Canadian country singer, Gord Bamford) I get choked up thinking about my boys. Most parenting songs are gender neutral at best, but often focus of "Daddy's Little Girl" themes, so I find this song especially unique!
Once you have kids, I find that the meaning of songs often change and some songs just become more and more special! Have a listen....
What do you think? What is your favorite dad/son song?

I like that song! I'll have to ask my Hubs if he has heard that one. His favorite Father/Son song is Watching You by Rodney Atkins.

I'm not sure if my hubs has a favorite sign that he likes singing to my little one. He does play guitar and sing a lot of the verve etc., though. She loves it!

I love that song. My hubs works on Oil rigs and Ice Roads so he's gone a lot. I take lots of pics of our boys and I make him online movies. I used this song for one of them few months ago. He said he cried and cried....I also love George Canyon and "Just Like You" it's a song he wrote for his son

The only father/son song I can think of is Cats in the Cradle but that's not really a good song...
However, I do play it when I don't think Tom is spending enough time with his son. I turn up the volume and he's all, "Jesus. I get it! I'll spend time with him."

I'd say the song of the moment is the theme from the movie Cars......
